Here, I explain exactly what I did, what you need to know and exactly what you'd have to do in order to create your own website just like this one.
Note* Having a basic understanding and knowledge of html and css code is helpful, but truthfully... webs.com makes building a website so easy that a 10 year old can actually do it by themselves
The first thing I did was create a free account on http://www.webs.com because they will be your website host. Once you have your account set up you will be able to create your new website. Pick and choose from dozens of professional template designs or choose a blank template and design your own
The second thing I did was sign up @ http://www.videowebtown.com because they will be your video host [honestly, not a very good one]. This must be a Paid Yearly membership of $35 USD. This is the minimum cost we need to pay in order to access videowebtown's "embedded players" and "unlimited bandwidth." There is no time limit on unlimited 840mb uploads... and no content filters to track or claim your videos.
At this point... you can simply upload to videowebtown and embed your videos into your webs.com site. Obviously, you could simply sign up on webs.com and embed from any free video hosting site and not pay a penny, but you'll be limited to being censored by those sites, unlike videowebtown.
For those who know their codes and want to use a custom flash player [such as the free JWplayer] [webs.com will host your player and script files]... there is a trick to making videowebtowns player codes work. It took me a few days to figure out this simple little trick honestly. What happens is, videowebtown needs their flash player to load on the page your video is on, or your video will not play. To solve this loading problem... I've edited one of videowebtowns embed codes for one of my videos to autoplay [FALSE] and have a height [0px] and width [20px]. Then I simply paste that code into the "Sidebar" option in the webs.com sitebuilder. That way, no matter what page loads on your webs.com website, it will have accessed videowebtown and play your videos in your own custom flash player
And there you have it... your unlimited, uncensored custom video website for $35 a year. That's how I do it... that's how you can do it too! If you want to remove ads on webs.com it will cost you another $35 a year [see ConsciousVideoDirectory]. So total freedom of worldwide expression only costs $70 USD a year online.... what are you waiting for??
